“Here is a little bit about us, Autica Tours Indonesia.”

We are a locally based travel company in Yogyakarta, working closely with communities across Indonesia to design journeys that go beyond checklists.
We create travel experiences for:
- first-time visitors
- families and small groups
- independent travelers
- researchers and cultural explorers
Each journey is built with attention to pace, context, and human connection—not just destinations. We believe travel doesn’t need to be slow in duration—but it can be intentional in how it is experienced.
Rooted in the Javanese philosophy of “pelan-pelan”—slowly, with awareness—Autica approaches travel as:
- a way to listen before reacting
- a chance to engage, not just observe
- an opportunity to leave something meaningful behind
This is what we call slow travel in practice, even within a short visit. Read more about Autica’s way of travel here.
What We Actually Do
From our base in Yogyakarta, we organize experiences across Indonesia, including:
- Cultural heritage visits (such as temples and historical sites)
- Village-based and community experiences
- Nature and landscape explorations
- Flexible private journeys tailored to different travel styles
All programs are supported by:
- licensed local guides
- curated storytelling approaches
- adaptable pacing depending on each traveler
Travel, for us, is not about how many places you visit.
It’s about what stays with you after you leave—
the conversations, the quiet moments, and the understanding you carry forward.
